Reception

In September 2020, we opened one Reception class for up to 30 pupils, however moving forwards the school has been built as a two form entry and from September 2021, we will have two Reception classes.

There are two purpose built Reception classes on the ground floor with state of the art outdoor spaces.

At Alder Grove CE Primary School, by the end of the Early Years children will be able to demonstrate the characteristics of effective learning: Playing and Exploring – engagement; Active Learning – Motivation and Creating and Thinking Critically – Thinking and ready for the challenges of the Year 1 curriculum.
