Alder Grove Church of England Primary School is a new 420-place primary free school in Shinfield, Wokingham which opened in September 2020 for Nursery and Reception; initially with one class per year group and the aim of growing year on year up to Year 6.

We are seeking to appoint a talented and inspirational Assistant Headteacher/Year 1 Class Teacher for our school. The Assistant Headteacher will be responsible for working alongside and supporting the Head of School in the key areas of school leadership and management, with a focus on Teaching and Learning and the development of outstanding Reading, Writing and Phonics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues across our family of schools as part of the Trust’s CPD programme and networking opportunities. The Assistant Headteacher will also be a skilled and supportive teacher with Key Stage One experience; an experienced team leader in teaching and learning and a key person in curriculum development.
