Required from September 2021

Alder Grove Church of England Primary School is a new 420-place primary free school in Shinfield, Wokingham which opened in September 2020 for Nursery and Reception. We are now looking to recruit a Teacher (0.1) to cover PPA as we continue to grow and establish ourselves in the local community for September 2021.

Lunchtime Controllers -

Lunchtime Controllers (Nursery and Reception)

Alder Grove Church of England Primary School is a new 420-place primary free school in Shinfield, Wokingham which opened in September 2020 for Nursery and Reception. We are now looking to recruit two new lunchtime controllers as we continue to grow and establish ourselves in the local community for September 2021.

These are part-time, permanent, term time only roles.

Starting date: September 2021

Hours per week:
6.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 11:45pm to 1:00pm)

and

5 hours per week (Monday to Friday – 11:30am to 12:30pm)

Salary (Grade 3 SCP 5): 

  • 6.25 hours per week: £19,312 (FTE), actual salary per year: £2,706.43
  • 5 hours per week: £19,312 (FTE), actual salary per year: £2,165.14

The role involves:

The provision of a safe and happy lunch time environment for all staff and pupils. Duties include supervising pupils while they eat their lunch; encouraging healthy choices and ensuring pupils are safe and engaged in purposeful play. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should have:
• excellent communication skills with young children
• the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team
• the ability to organise and teach children to play games.
• first aid qualification or be willing to undertake first aid training
